Hi my 3 month old has a milk allergy and is now on sma alfamino which has no milk in it at all. We have a dietician appointment end of this Month. Just looking for anyone who’s had this experience and if there’s anything in particular I should be asking at my appointment
Thanks

My daughter was diagnosed with a milk allergy at 3 weeks old, you need to see if the sma agrees with her, I can’t remember which one that is but some still have small amount of milk but more broken down so they can digest it better then there’s amino acid mills which has no milk, you shouldn’t need to worry too much until you start weaning, she should give you advice on this or you may attend a group session, milk allergy on its own isn’t too bad, my daughter has multiple allergies so was hard but obviously you don’t discover them until you start weaning, the main advice is introduce food gradually and try one food for 3 days as it can take up to 72 hours for a reaction to appear
