Hi all,

It's Tuesday again so time for another tip. Today's tip is:

Although it can be a tiring time (both emotionally and physically) exercising during pregnancy is likely to give you more energy, help you sleep better and improve your mood.

Share your tips on diet and exercise that helped you during your pregnancy below!

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's replies here as I am 13 weeks and feeling pretty shattered!

What I've found helps so far is eating little and often. Thankfully Baby has fairly healthy taste, so am snacking on lots of fruit, nuts, carrots and dip and yoghurt. He/she does also love potatoes (preferably salty) though, so swings and roundabouts! Always have a drink with me to keep the nausea down.

I was doing regular at home yoga before pregnancy and am keeping this up as much as I can - the yoga with Adriene videos on youtube are fab. After 16 weeks I want to find a pregnancy class so I can keep going, as do feel slightly better when I have done a bit of exercise and the stretching helps with flexibility and little aches and pains. Am walking lots too, but find too much can be tough on my lower back the next day.

I wished I’d made loads of frozen, home made meals, that I could just quickly microwave.

I didn’t feel I had time to be cooking and ended up eating a lot of biscuits and putting on a lot of weight!!

So now when someone I know has just had a baby, I make them meals for their freezer (and warn them not to substitute too many meals with packets of biscuits!!)

Any tips for meals that freeze well??? usually I make lasagne...

I am veggie, so pretty much anything with a sauce freezes well. Chilli, curry, bolognese, pasta sauce, risotto... I love BBC good food for easy recipes and they have loads of freezable ideas: bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/col...
