Taste and smell

Surgery in 2014 and have almost lost sense of smell and taste. Any one bebeen thru this and any suvgestions. Ivor Lewis surgery with no esophagus and little stomach remaining.

Hi. Mine has almost disappeared too. I can sometimes taste or small something but it has to be a strong smell. Does your tongue feel as tho it's scalded ? Ivor Lewis 2010.

Wonder if it is to do with the chemo rather than the procedure itself. My husband had the op nearly 6 years ago and his tastes change regularly. Something he ate and enjoyed can be a no go another time. He never had a problem before surgery!
