pain when swallowing

i am 4 years post op ,ivor lewis op just recently at nightime my mouth and throat get very dry and i cough all night long , but when i am up and about it seems fine , any ideas welcomed , stay safe

Maybe nasel drip . Have you tried beconase 8 in 1 nasal spray? I use the hayfever one all year long. Has Antihistamine in it.

Could be silent reflux, as this causes coughing when laid down. Do you take PPI's? Have you changed your diet recently? Have you consulted your doctor? Or, four years post-op, it may be unrelated to your surgery.
