Well had my 2nd endoscopy, went much better this time, there is nothing nasty lurking in the background, but they still havnt found the cause to my problem, so now I have to have a CT scan. The report said that It is tight passing through the hiatus but once through the Pylorus appeared open and it was easy to access the duodenum. No anastomotic stricture and no sign of recurrence. The open pylorus doesn’t really fit with delayed emptying.
I am wondering if because I take 2 antibiotics a day the delayed emptying has eased, I’m still a little worried that they can’t find anything.
But have to be positive.

I have the same issues, had esophagectomy 14 years ago due to achalasia (no cancer) but the surgery is pretty much the same. Had a colon interposition instead of gastric pull-up. During this year my swallowing has gotten worse, I believe this is due to the slow motility, I have to force the swallowing and I feel a strain I my neck. Docs have no answers other than it’s probably caused by reflux. I just wish I didn’t have to have this constant discomfort in my throat 24/7.
I am so sorry to hear this, congratulations on your 14 yrs tho, but I know what you mean, it's just answers we'd like, I'm not sure why I'm having a CT scan, but I have a follow up with my nurse on Monday,. I hope you find some answers. Keep us updated.
