Me they removed a lot I had a few affected. Not the closet ones but further down the network. I’m 10 years on. I did have Chemo before and after The Op.

I'm only 6 months on from surgery and although I had lymph nodes affected there was no cancer found in the lymph nodes after surgery. I had chemo/radio therapy before surgery and so far no further treatment is required. I've just had my first post op CT scan and I have my fingers crossed.

Good luck with your treatment. I found it hard but just now I feel it was worth it.

Hi- my husband had a total gastrectomy for grade 3C stomach cancer April 2015. At surgery 36 lymph nodes were removed -18 of them had cancer.

He had pre and post op chemotherapy- full and complete doses both times....

He has been discharged now by both his oncologist and surgical team and is very well and fit.

I was T3 N3 pre treatment.

4 rounds of chemo pre-surgery, 36 nodes removed only 1 found cancerous.

2 rounds chemo post surgery.

2 years later hopefully still clear.
