Swallowing
Hi. I had exactly the same issue last year. I had an NG tube fitted and 3 days later a tube into small intestine. I was undergoing chemo and radio to shrink tumour before op. I like you could not swallow but tumour def shrank. Keep at it be strong you will get there. Good luck
My husband had 3 cycles if chemo prior to op in March and ability to eat before the op didn’t improve. But after op the surgeon did tell us the tumour had been shrunk by 30% from first CT scan.Good luck for the op
Thankyou soo much for your reply i am sitting at home waiting for ct scan in the 16 th of this month and oncology on the 20th feeling the time long and of course mind starts thinking allsorts ,i hope your husband is doing well

It’s a long long road to recovery as you will see on here.this site was my lifeline and still is. When my husband gets down with the side effects I have to remind him it’s only 6 months since his op and we were told recovery is 9/12 months. he still has the feeding tube that was installed during the op.But we are hoping it will come out in the next week or two. Good luck with all your up and coming dates....you find you live for these appointments to come and go....
