Omeprazole/Prilosec dose

Soon to have the IL op. Interested to know dosage of ppi prescribed following the op to control the acid?

I'm on 20mg Esomeprazole a day.

My husband is on 30mg Lansoprazole each evening - however, I believe each surgeon/oncologist varies as to what is prescribed post surgery so you will need to be guided by them.

Pantoprazole 40mg daily

Im on 20 morn and evening. Unfortunately we still get reflux after also take Gaviscon adv at bedtime. You will need to sleep at 45 degs so good pillows required.

It may well depend on the exact details of the surgery and how much stomach acid you system generates after the operation. It is not unusual for the medication to be adjusted or fin tuned afterwards.

I think it is a question of finding what works.I was on 30mg lanzoprazol twice a day. I am now on 150mg ranitidine twice a day and much better
