Well that's me due for my CT scan today, only 10 weeks after first going to my GP with problem with food sticking in my throat, at which time the doctor asked me what I was looking to be done and only agreed to refer me for a scope after I requested one, the results of my scope 3 weeks ago confirmed that there was what appeared to be a malignant tumour, biopsies and photographs taken but no further information given other than await an appointment for a CT scan after which a meeting with the specialist nurse and doctors to discuss the results, this is due next Wednesday after which we will hopefully know where we are and what treatments are recommended, so here's hoping all goes well from then on in.

This is what I'm struggling with. Waiting. It feels like an eternity. My husband is currently my waiting on a PET scan after having both and endoscopy and a CT. We get the results of the PET scan 2 weeks tomorrow. Feels like forever.

I wish you well and hope you get a posite outcome.

Three weeks is an inordinate amount of time to wait for a CT scan after finding a tumour. I was lucky, I had mine the next day, and still found having to wait 5 days for the results was torture.

I hope the results are positive. However, you may have to have many more tests before they finally decide on a treatment plan. Good luck.
