Hi. Sorry to hear about your problems. I think you'll have to wait for results of tests before you get any answers to what is wrong. I know it's horrible waiting but they have to take these things step by step. However once you do know more, if relevant, you'll find the support on this forum excellent.

Best wishes

Hi, I had similar symptoms, burping after eating, sometimes after drinking water too.

Getting full quickly and weight loss. Had a camera down throat into stomach, result hiatus hernia and a tchatzi ring (narrowing of esophagus) now on lanzoprazole once a day fir rest oc my life, byt feel lots better.

Lanzoprazole did hrlp for first three weejs, but then became inaffective. Waiting tk see gastro but waiting list up to 40 wks ! May decide to do keyhole surgery on hiatus hernia and balloon stretch esophagus.

No pain just a dull ache left side under rib, getting full quickly, losing weight, burping and belching.

The doctors sometimes call it 'early satiety' ie feeling full when you have not eaten much. I do think you should ask for a referral for an endoscopy examination urgently as these things do need to be investigated. It might be a number of things, but the GP would no doubt have been considering cancer as one of the possibilities. It may well not be, and do not get over anxious, but the system is there to cater for prompt referrals, and there is probably some underlying cause that needs to be diagnosed.
