choking and acid coming back up.....
I sympathise. For a year or so after my op I found eating out very difficult with fairly regular trips to the restaurant loo to choke up my food. Mostly I went out with my partner who understood and that reduced the anxiety. Steadily matters improved and eventually I found that taking a large glug of water at regular intervals during my meal helped push the food down. This may not work for everyone because, in the early days, I could even choke on water. It does improve and for a number of years I have coped pretty well (now 11 years post op) but have kept up the practice of drinking plenty of water - I often drink 1 litre during a meal. Only rarely do I eat 3 courses but "in between" eating compensates. Good luck and don't give up hope.
I just want to say I was exactly the same as you , and I had an ulcer on my oesophagus and had to take lansoprazole to heal it, have you not been diagnosed with anything with a endoscopy? If I was you I would not put up with I good luck.
You have had an endoscopy, which is in some ways the most important test.
A barium swallow test might also be appropriate, but meanwhile, make sure you keep hydrated by taking frequent sips of water. Try small portions of soup to maintain nutrition, and think about whether you can relax more around swallowing so that you can alter your mindset. This might be difficult for you, and some form of relaxation therapy might help.
I'll try

I have the same problem and sympathise. i find the only thing that helps is sitting really still and taking deep breaths between small mouthfuls and accepting cant eat as much as appetite until condition improves. the meds wont stay down, so back to dr. good luck.
