Gas.

Have grade two esophagus. Am getting some discomfort in my stomach that could be related to IBS, too, and chronic stress. Have noticed that I do not pass a lot of gas, or 'burps' and am wondering if this could be a bit of a problem, internally, and a factor in my symptoms? Can anyone give me some advice on this topic as it does seem a bit strange that, while my stomach pains me, that my digestion isn't producing too much gas emissions? A problem, and if so, how to resolve this.

It is not obligatory to have wind / gas, but if you do, it will either go upwards - or downwards. I think the priority is probably to concentrate on improving your stress levels and the IBS under the care of a good gsatroenterologist.

Your oesophagitis will not be improved by reflux and exposure to strong stomach acid, and you may be feeling the natural effect of any medication that reduces acid secretions. But this is complete non-qualified speculation.

Could stress be a factor in the discomfort in my stomach and would more exercise help to control and lessen this...?

Best to take advice from somebody who knows your history, but exercise is a healthy thing that often helps with stress.

I have a similar problem (am 6 months post-op). I've found that I can't eat fatty foods or foods with much sugar (maximum about 1-12 grams) without getting severe cramps and usually dumping syndrome. I couldn't get an appointment with my gastro until the end of this month. I've lost 50 lbs altogether and it's gotten very worrisome. Wish I had a resolution!

Haven't lost any weight, but am seeing the gastro specialist in a few weeks time. It's the discomfort in my stomach, which strongly believe is due to stress, so will have to try and counter this with a strict exercise routine. See if that helps. Have you tried that for your symptoms...?

Try going for a walk every day I find that it de stresses me and I do find standing and walking makes the reflux less you don't need to do a strict exercise routine unless you want to

Yes, I do try to go for walks, but I get stressed out by the busy area that I live within. This borough. I don't react well in crowds, and due to an influx of people into this area, with new buildings etc being built, this has just added to the problem. So not sure what to do to avoid the stress whenever I go. I don't have a garden of my own to walk around in. So kinda stuck for options here..
