I am hoping for some advice. I'm constantly counting all the time (mostly just 1-10) and I always count the stairs especially, there's usually 14. If I stop counting I fall over, I do it a lot when I'm walking up the stairs. I'm scared I'm going to get laughed at my new sixth form, I don't know what to do. I've also started picking my skin and I don't even realise sometimes.

OCD is a form of repeated unwanted intrusive thoughts and actions. If it interferes with your normal way of living then good to get some help. If you can function normally and it doesn't hinder too much of your daily progress then great. It's best not to obsess on the actions and get frustrated. just acknowledge it, breath through it and move on to something else. OCD can be exacerbated through stress and anxiety. Get to the source of what your stress is and work on fixing those first.
Just remember, you are not alone, many, many people have these rituals (eg David Beckham and his extreme tidiness). People under a lot of stress use these as a relief mechanism that supposedly helps control their performance anxiety - unfortunately in excess it actually causes more problems and can become self-defeating and disabling. At that point clinical intervention may be required: many drug treatments are ow available. You might also be referred to mental health support, with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy usually prescribed.
HI
the quickest way is tom just a few steps at a time then wait ,m then take another few steps. You can start with one, there has to be a beginning with everything. Its a gradual thing. YOu can consult with a therapist and ask for specific antianxiety medication from your doctor.
Take care
