Finger osteoarthritis

Hi all has anyone else had pain and stiffness especially in the morning in the pip joint of the hands, Rheumy not sure what it is yet as I haven’t got much swelling, have a little redness but no lumps in joints, hands have been weak for the last couple of years but not stiff and painful like they have been the last 3months, have had PMR for the last 4years not taking steroids any more, wondered if it could be osteoarthritis or due to rhumatiod arthritis, Rheumy just told me to take paracetamol every 4 hrs and gave me capsician cream have been using about 2weeks now not much difference in pain or stiffness, wondered if anyone else has been suffering with their pip joints.
