I am waiting on an appointment for rheumatology as my hands and wrist have been swelling, redness and going stiff. I've also started to get pins and needles in my fingers and hands and arms. And this morning my hands have came out in a blotchy red rash. Any advice?

Help?
I too have pins and needles in my right hand and my arm gets a cold feeling and numb feeling, it has been going on for bout a week now and i am seeing my GP tomorrow about it.
is it an under the skin rash? raised? bumps?
It's not raised or bumpy, looks more under the skin and the palm of my hand is very red and sore and looks almost like there's a wee white spots. It's being going on for months. I can't blow dry my hair or lift anything too heavy. I had rheumatoid arthritis when I was 2 years old in both my feet and legs and it went into remission when I was 5.
It's goes white and disappears within 2-3 seconds. X
I don't have any medical advice but I'd say prepare to be assertive if the appointment doesn't materialise soon. Like a lot of other people on here I've found that being a patient patient doesn't cut the mustard with Rheumatology - prompt referrals are highly recommended and being a bit pushy is the way to go if things drag on.
