Thanks watson 3 and summer, but one question why a friend is it really that bad? I have to admit I am nervous having read reports of dizziness etc and I already suffer with menieres and have vertigo attacks with sickness :(

It's not that bad...don't panic! I took my Mum with me as it's a long day and I hadn't had a catch up with her in ages...you're stuck in a chair so may as well make use of the time but a good book would be just as good! I had an infusion reaction so my face all swelled up etc during my first one but it still wasn't that bad...they just stopped it for a while and gave me IV antihistamine and then restarted it. The second one is much quicker. Sweets and a comfy cushion are def good advice! Good luck x

Hi Lisalockit

Sorry for the late response! I thought you might find it interesting to read two of the case studies on our website about first rituximab infusions:

nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoi...

nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoi...

I hope your infusion went well yesterday.

Kind regards

Sarah Kate
