Do you have a temperature? I tend to take it unless my temperature is 100, and if so then I don't. But that's just what I do, so best would be to give your rheumy team a call in the morning to check since you may be in a different medical state than I am. Polly
You could go and see your GP tomorrow? Last time I had a humdinger of a cold and went to see my GP for an update on MTX after consultation. She just took one look at me and put me straight on Amoxicillin because of my suppressed immune system - but said I was still to take my MTX that day. The fluey cold was knocked on the head without me needing to drop my MTX that week. Good luck hope you feel better soon. TTx
Yes same here, I had anti biotics when I got a cold a few weeks ago, still took my MTX though. Best to get some advice from GP, maybe you could get to talk to someone on the phone if you can't get an appointment.

Sore throats are always something you should take seriously, so yes, get yourself to the GP as an emergency (tell the receptionist you are on immuno-compromising drugs to make sure you get an appointment same day) and get checked out BEFORE you take your next dose of MTX.
It may not be the kind of infection that is going to be a problem, but you do need to get a properly qualified person (doctor) to make that judgement.
