I was given an injection for my joints 8 weeks ago when I was put on sulfa tablets,how long does this last? Thanks Carole

Like so many other things with RA, the only answer I can give you is that it varies... some people say that the effects only last a couple of weeks, but I've been lucky and respond very well to steroid jabs. For me they really knock inflammation down and it takes months and months for it to build up again. Hope that helps. polly

I too have had injections many times and they have lasted for about 6 months, just long enough to get through the Winter. I found the first 24 hours almost unbearable with the pain but, after that, things got so much easier. K.

I have Kenelog injections, unfortunately they only last about 2 months, sorry its not more positvie, Tracey

Ive had a few steroid injections and luckily theyve lasted a few months whilst ive either waited for meds to kick in or while ive changed meds.....steroid tablets on the other hand ive found horrendous!
