Hi sue,

No its not just you I feel like this all the time I have to write everything down its untrue how forgetful I am.

Hi Sue

Same here. "losing the plot" has become my middle name. It used to be funny!! :-)

No really, since being on all the meds I firstly suffered with brain fog (I was only diagnosed last Oct). I couldn't focus on anything and my short term memory almost didnt exist (well it felt like that).

Things have improved since then but I still have to write things down else I just simply forget. It is quite unnerving because it is important stuff that normally I would never forget.. bit scary at first.

So my notepad is now my best friend, if anyone moves it or I misplace it, I am lost again!

I think we get pre-occupied with ourselves too, about our pain and how we are feeling and what with everything else life throws at us, things just get forgotten.

So you are not alone!

take care

Yes we had a discussion a few months ago about this, and I think a lot of us find that pain can make us forgetful. Xx

I have also been told by the the rheummy team that loss of memory is also one of the effects of Fibromyalgia.

sue yes, only today i passed my usual turn off to work - the road i turn into every morning for the past 3 years....I am only on pain relief and antibiotics so can't blame the drugs. don't like this at all.

wow yes I can agree with all this. In fact the other morning I arrived at work and because I had my coat I headed straight for my classroom to hang it up but ended up sailing right past the classroom door and out the other door to go home-all because i had my coat on. Funny, but also quite frightening.
