I am afraid to say yes i have. I have both and they can go hand in hand with each other. If you look up fibromyalgia you will get all the info you need. I would check again with the dr to see if you have both though. It is pain in no specific place and it will move. sylvi.xx
Yes fibromyalgia is apparently quite common amongst RA sufferers, I went to GP initially with all the symptoms of Fibro then got diagnosed RA and started treatment, it was only a year after that finally a Nurse said Oh I think you have Fybro! It's very painful but steroids works wonders for pain relief. hope you get all the answers you need. Carol
Hi
I have both too, my Rheumy wouldn't start the Meds until the Fibro settled down as the others have said they do go hand in hand.

Hi holly2812
You may find it useful to have a read of the information produced by Arthritis Research UK on fibromyalgia: arthritisresearchuk.org/art...
There are also a couple of organisations we are aware of that specialise in fibromyalgiam please find links to these below so may be able to offer some more information on this condition.
Fibromyalgia Association UK: fibromyalgia-associationuk....

That's exactly what happened to me 22yrs ago. I had been blood tested for RA and seeing a rheumatologist every three months for 5 yrs... Then I moved so attended a different hospital where the R'ologist was an FM expert and told me that is what I have. I had never heard of fibromyalgia but He was absolutely right.
