Coeliac and RA? Just wondered if any of you have both as I do?
not both im my case.. there is a link as they are both autoimmune diseases. there is a health unlocked coelic site as well as the Nras site if you are interested.

I haven't been diagnosed as coeliac but do have lots of problems eating anything with gluten in it so try to keep away from such foods as much as possible. I understood that people with RA tend to have more wheat intolerance but not sure where I heard or read this. I've mentioned my problem to the rheum team but as my eyes are more urgent at the moment (plus the RA of course) the focus has been on that! Interested to hear from Alison though that coeliac also an auto-immune disease - has got me thinking ...
What are the symptoms of coeliac disease?
Ive just read a study made by Otto Heinrich Warburg (1883-1970) "the primary cause and prevention of cancer". In this case, or in ours (r.a), gluten helps acidify the body, what isnt good!
