Not sure what your question is as most people have adult onset RA.

I have a friend who was diagnosed with Addisons, he almost died due to repeated misdiagnosis, ended up in a wheelchair then hospital ICU, now he's on correct meds he's doing ok but still quite poorly.

Thank you, my Addisons isn't the problem at the moment as my Steroids are very high (90mg a day) its ' Adult onset stills disease' due to the pain I'm also in a wheelchair most of the time Parkie

Your steroids are very high!

My friends not in a wheelchair now, once formally diagnosed and correct treatment started he's improved enough to be able to walk with a sticks.

Hi Tilda T, 'Adult onset stills disease' comes on as an adult. It is a childs disease but was discovered in the 1980's that adults can have it. Its chronic RA with the addition of extreme fatique, high fevers that return to normal quickly,salmon- coloured rash, fluid around the heart or lungs(I've had my lungs drained numberous amount of times). It also mimics an infection, so have to rely on CRP count instead. Hope this helps, there is lots more but these are the basics. Parkie x

Sounds awful poor you Parkie - makes me feel very lucky just to have plain old RA - and quite mildly too. Take care please Tilda xx

Hi, the worst thing is the loss of my independance, my daughters have taken over my role as mum and relying on them for almost everything. With time my mobility may improve, fingers crossed. Take care Parkie x
