Your hospital where you were diagnosed will give you a rheumy nurse. Let us have a list of your questions and i know someone on here will able able to answer you,so don't be afraid to ask anything no matter how trivial you think it is.

Your GP and the NRAS helpline might be the best places to start? As Sylvi said I'm sure others on here will have suggestions too but I don't have a rheumy nurse so I'm often all at sea too. Tilda x
My hospital does have a rheumy nurse - but she's actually busier than the doctors so I've only ever seen her once! There are also a couple of books that you can get from your local library about RA that I've found useful. One's called "How to Live a Full Life with Rheumatoid Arthritis: How to Manage Your Rheumatoid Arthritis by Becoming an Expert Patient" by Jasmine Jenkins
Give the NRAS help line a call. They are really friendly and helpful and have loafs of information. Their number is 0800 2987650.

Hi Megant
Unfortunately not all hospitals have rheumatology specialist nurses, but many do, so it's worth asking at the hospital. Also, some of them have a nurse-run helpline, so if there is a nurse, ask about this, as there may be a number that you can call if you need medical advice between appointments.
The NRAS helpline are not medically trained, so cannot give medical advice, but we do have a lot of information on RA and can offer you support, so please call us if we can be of any help.
Kind regards
