Are you serious? It may help your mind but it certainly won't help RA. Sorry if I've upset you in any way but if you are in pain you need to speak to your rheumy team or GP.

If you believe inSpiritual healing it can work wonders…but don’t expect a miracle….& definitely don’t stop your R A drugs, no matter what is advised .

Belief doesn’t stop joint damage.

It is 100% proven we need DMards.

Good luck, I hope it works for you.

No, I'm not planning on stopping medication , just to add more help next to it

I think, meditation and maybe hypnosis even can claim your mind which in turn can help reduce stress can help. Sometimes it may just help us to deal with the pain. Maybe spiritual healing can do something similar. As to actual healing I don't think there is any chance of that.

Hi virginied. Having had experience with spiritual healing on a few occasions (my dogs also) several years ago, I would go for it but as already advised, don't stop your drugs. Good luck!

I’d think meditation and mindfulness would be helpful (but not to stop the RA meds) as my physio (brilliant guy) used to advocate this and incorporate it in my physio sessions. He used to do his whilst my knees and hands were in hot wax wraps and I was laying down relaxing for 20 mins. That was the first time I’d heard of this tbh in 1995. He was very unique and more of a counsellor to many of his patients. 🩷

I had acupuncture when my back went into spasm for weeks and nothing was helping. I went to a physio who I had seen before , she was brilliant , I started to see a difference after a week and eventually things improved.

If you try it , look for someone experienced, best wishes.

If you think something may work, then it just might. But please be careful there’s a lot of con artists about and they prey on the vulnerable. Some mainstream church’s do hands on healing I’ve heard but it’s not something I’ve tried. On the other hand CBT is a sort of mindfulness so could be similar and does seem to help some people. Just don’t part with any money but you could talk to your local priest or vicar to see if they do hands on stuff. Good luck.
