Has anyone else noticed that their skin on face and scalp has areas of flaky skin, especially at the edges of your hairline behind ears and on scalp.
I bought E45 eczema cream but it doesn’t seem to work ?
Any advice welcome 🙏

Strangely enough yes. I have Double Base on prescription although you can buy it.
I think mine is Poriasis as I have Psoriatic Arthritis.Chemist recommended Epaderm. It's not gone, but is much better.
Not eczema, but very dry, flaking nails.
Do an Econsult as Etanercept did not cause skin issues but Abatercept had to be stopped for severe eczema.
I recently had to stop Etanercept due to a rash on my face and arms. I also had dry skin round my hairline.
Funnily enough I was visiting my Mum in her care home yesterday and she was scratching her arms like mad. It looked like they had previously been bleeding. My husband went to her room and brought a bottle of E45 so I could rub some on her arms. My hands immediately started stinging and when I got home I read this:
"Do not use near the mouth, inner nose, eyes, genital area or on broken skin. E45 cream contains: Cetyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis)".
It also contains petroleum jelly and lanolin and I can’t wear wool which may explain my itching. I’ll have to find some better cream for her. I hope you find something more natural that works for you.
I have started to develop eczema on my lower spine area and I’m on Benepali. I’m allergic to lanolin so I have to be careful which creams I use.
Hi Thankyou for all your helpful replies I really appreciate it and it’s so nice to hear from people who are experiencing the same issues 😄
