Cancer Diagnosis

I have been recently diagnosed with Lung and I am now undergoing treatment, There was a late delay because of COVID, strikes resulting in a backlog of appointments. Normally I would have had a check of my lungs every 6 months or so.

I now have to stop Methorexate, for a while and I don't know how this will affect me? I have a few questions to ask?

How many of you have your lungs checked on a regular basis? What affect do you think Methorexate has on the Lungs? What might be a better alternative to this drug?

I have had RA for 20+ years & have never had any pulmonary problems so have never had my lungs checked except for a chest X-ray before I started a Dmard…but I can’t remember which one.

I think you should ask your oncologist to liaise with yourrheumatologist on the drugs you need. I’m afraid we can’t really advise on your problem….only your doctors can decide the drugs you need.

Hope you get to see your doctors very soon with some helpful advice.
