Hi Ninnin67,
Does your original letter tell you when it is due for renew as even indefinite awards are often given a light review after 10 years. Some reviews for ongoing awards start from as soon as 9 months.

Hopefully your letter will give you a guide but do give them a call if you're not expecting a review.
Best wishes

My husband had a ten year old award, and we gave a sigh of relief, but sadly he had a to have a phone review a few years into it. They knocked quite a bit of money off him, we did appeal twice and took it to the tribunal level and eventually won it back. This took about a year to do and a lot of stress involved. I just hope they don’t do that trick again, he is 70 now so hopefully they will leave him alone. They can seemingly do what they want regardless of the length of the award.
I had a telephone review a couple of months ago. I sent my renewal form back in March, but they're so busy. My call came out of the blue one afternoon, which was a surprise. My reviewer was really nice.
I had my last review in person. The nurse didn't look up from her computer, and said I didn't look ill because I wasn't unkempt.
I asked for a mandatory consideration, which I won.
Always fight it if they take it away.
Good luck 👍 💓
I am still awaiting a reply from a form filled in in April. I was told if I hadn't had a reply by Feb 2024! They would extend my award for 1 Yr, but that's not the point! I have a motability car, and having no response is like having the sword of Damocles hanging over your head, but they don't seem to understand the stress levels this can bring on. He told me that they are up to 10 months behind, that was 2 days ago.
Hi Ninnin67 I had this last year, when I first read it I thought it was a pip review, but when I reread it, it was from a independent company employed by the government to make sure people are getting the correct amount of money, if this is what I had they just go through your details etc. They pick people randomly, hope this helps, if it's not that then just ignore me 😁 best wishes Sarah
Not sure if you have had your review yet? Always worth having your paperwork to hand especially the one saying what you were awarded points for. A review is done to see if there are any changes in your health condition and what you can and can't do.
As others have said below if, after the review, you don't agree with their assessment then appeal. All the best with it.
