An other question about taking other tablets with hydroxychloroquine, my gp has given me citalopram ,wondering if these are ok to take with hydroxychloroquine

Sorry Alice we can’t answer medical questions, you need to speak to your GP or pharmacist but I presume the person who prescribed it knows the other meds you take?
I don’t think they would have prescribed it if it was a bad combination with the hydroxy. You could always check with your GP if you’re concerned. I hope the citalopram helps you though. X
If you are concerned speak to a pharmacist. They are the experts on drug interactions.
Hi Alice, I have been taking both for about 18 months and haven't had any problems. My rheumatologist is aware of this and is happy for me to continue. Hope this is reassuring for you x
a little trick is to keep your medication list with you and if given a new drug ask then to check against your upto date list for any contras. ( it should be on the system BUT worth always asking for a double check) This way you will feel reassured when you leave the Gp or RA team
