Runrig01 replied to the post and said she had contacted her supplier Healthcare at Home and got written advice from them that the cool bag should not go through the scanner and kept a copy on her phone to show security at the airport. They were fine with that. Why don’t you do the same?
my pens are always scanned (Enbrel not Benepali, but v similar). never had a problem. Healthcare at Home I think say “ No” just to absolve themselves of any risk…
HaH told me that years ago about my methotrexate pens, so I contacted the manufacturers who said they was no problem. And if there had been it would be clearly stated on the leaflet!
Hi yes. I got in touch with what was healthcare@home re benepali. I was advised by their pharmacist to get in touch with the manufacturer for advice. This was back in 2018, and they advised it should not go through the scanners. Unfortunately I cannot find their initial reply at the moment, but will keep looking. It was if I recall partly due to being a living cell. As I say this was 5yr ago, and their view may have changed, you could always contact them. I was advised to ask them to screen it separately, which they’ve done without issue. I have other injectables like steroids, which I do put through the scanner.
l have just returned from Cambodia and Vietnam , I put my benepali with ice packs in a container in my hand luggage no problems at all , I kept my prescription incase
