Leflunomide

Leflunomide did not work for me and I spent about a year with no relief from RA. I am now on biologics, Imraldi. This is only partially working so a short course of steroids has been added. I feel so much better I am beginning to get my life back. I am hoping it continues when the steroids finish.

If you find that Imraldi (adalumimab) isn't working enough for you then you need to let the rheumy team know. There are lots of biological treatments available now, have a look on the treatment pages on the nras website. So if the first one doesn't suit, you can try another and preferably one that works in a different way on the immune system. I'm on Imraldi too and have found it life-changing for me, but I do notice that the last three days before the next injection, the pain and stifness creeps back a bit and I need to wear my support/compression gloves in bed again .
