biologics and hrt
if you put HRT into the search box and filter for NRAS then all previous posts about it will come up 😊
I did for a short while but the glue on the patches made my skin sore so changed to gel then gel wasn’t available so now on the spray 👍
Morning 🙂Yes, me! 🙋🏻♀️I am on Tocilizumab and Methotrexate (Metoject) along with a few other bits and pieces; I use a patch called Evorel-Conti. All good so far 👌
i am in methotrexate, a biologic and bio identical hormones. Seems fine.
hi. I’m on imraldi and use evorel HRT patches too. They don’t seem to interfere with each other in any way
I use Oestrogel (Oestradiol HRT like in Evorel patch) and Utrogestan tablet. I take Metoject and hydroxychloroquine and Benepali for RA. I was on them before the HRT, but the RA made the menopause symptoms much more aggravating so I asked my GP to try HRT
No problem with them together and the HRT has helped with hot flushes and sleep disturbance
I hope it helps you, too.
Yep me too. I use Evorel patches after having a hysterectomy before I was 40 so been on them for almost 20 years. I wouldn’t be without them that’s for sure they really help. I tried pills but they didn’t suit me at all made me depressed but patches no side effects whatsoever just benefits.
yes, I’ve been on Benepali for a couple of years with some success. I’m also a candidate for osteoporosis. After a Dexa scan in 2017 I discussed possible treatments with my gp but resisted the suggestion of alondronic (?) acid or injections as had only recently been put diagnosed with RA and didn’t want to overload my system. I had asked about hrt but gp was hesitant at the time re the pros and cons. However I had a further Dexa scan earlier this year and same gp agreed to put me on hrt as she advised that very recent research indicates the benefits are now found to very much outweigh any risks. So I’ve been on the Utrogestan tablet and evoril patches for around 8 months with no issues.
thankyou all. Was a bit worried as I can't get a response from rheumatologist. I'm on humira, sulphasalazine and hydroxy. And adding something else made Me nervous
Hi yes recently though,it’s a gel not patch, They have started me off very slowly with ultra low dose as I have also had a heart attack and a stent about 4 years ago and am also 69 years old ,so I have to watch that my blood pressure doesnt rise?. I am on MTX for PsRA Although I am quite old for Hrt I am still getting hot flushes and other effects of the menopause even though I started it in my early 40s due to hysterectomy and was on Hrt for many years until I had my heart attack ( they didn’t know as much as they do these days about Hrt and the heart) hope this helps,
yes I have been on methotrexate by injection for over 10 years and hrt for 30 plus years as full hysterectomy and a history of osteoporosis in family. Hope this helps no reactions.
