Hi,

As the title says, I’ve only recently been diagnosed with RA. 3+ years to diagnosis so used to feeling terrible.

Had flu vaccine on sat am. Am back to the darkest days prior to going onto HCQ.

Is this normal? Just looking for others who’ve experienced as I don’t know anyone in RL who has been in this situation.

Thank you so much

Some people get a reaction some don't. It will pass . Paracetamol and keep your fluids up. It's quite normal.

I don't usually feel awful after a flu jab - but I have done this time.

But if it doesn't resolve, contact your rheumatology nurse - you might co-incidentally be having a flare and need extra treatment for that.

ah! I hadn’t thought of that thank you. Also doesn’t help it’s got suddenly cold and I can feel every joint 😀

I had my flu jab a couple of weeks age and felt a bit rubbish the next day took some paracetamol and I was ok after that. Hope your feeling better soon x
