I'm finding that my hands are achy in the day but in the evening I get a strange sensation. It feels as though my fingers are stung with nettles all over and I would expect to see them blown up like fat sausages as they feel as though the skin is stretched tight but they are the normal size, though they look more red than usual. Has anyone else experienced that?

Finger discomfort in the evening
I have that same feeling, sometimes it goes up to my elbow. It’s very unpleasant, like a trapped nerve in many ways but no meds I take alter it is I just rely on my splints and put up with it I’m afraid. Neither my GP or Consultant seem to be able to do anything regarding it, sometimes there just isn’t. I must say it’s years , not every evening, but seems to be when I try to relax. Sorry there’s not always an answer for symptoms.
Inflammation presses on nerves and causes all sorts of odd sensations. Hopefully will wear off when your disease is controlled properly.
Yes I get exactly the same, I just thought a nerve somewhere is getting pushed about by my inflammation.
Always in same spot on my hand, but it does pass.
Thank you all for your replies. When you develop a chronic condition it’s hard to know what’s another symptom and what is something of a different cause.
