I started on Paxlovid on Monday finishing the course on Friday. I would say that even on Tuesday I was feeling less unwell and have continued to improve. On Saturday I did a LFD test which was still positive (though the line took a little longer to appear and was less distinct than the original test on Sunday morning. I have just done another test this morning which was negative.
I still feel rather like I have cold with still a bit of a cough and phlegm coming up but I don't feel unwell in the way I did last week.
The system for ordering the antiviral seems to have worked well in NHS Grampian. The most noticeable side-effect of Paxlovid was an odd slightly metallic taste in the mouth which has largely gone now. I found that Biotene gel (normally used for dry mouth conditions) did relieve the condition. My bowel movements were a bit looser than normal. Both of these were noted on the patient information sheet.

Glad you're feeling better. Much the same side effects for me but I'm still testing positive after 14 days!! I too have cough and phlegm which kept me awake last night.
Worked really well for me. Felt much better within three days and was clear by day 7. The metallic taste was unpleasant but went as soon as I stopped taking the pills. Hope you’re completely recovered soon.
I had those too and within 24hrs so much better although twice daily I had to send over my oxygen levels up to day 10. I agree about the taste but worth it
I was placed in the virtual covid ward that's where I sent my readings twice daily by text. I got same day delivery of an oxymeter from Amazon. I was surprised on one day my levels dropped low and I got a telephone call to take it again. Below 92% and its a 999 call fortunately it didn't but on the cusp.
