Hope the Hydroxy helps you and you can start to feel improvement. Two years+ is a long time to be worrying for a diagnosis. x

Meant to type “waiting” for a diagnosis but worrying is also appropriate.

Hope the hydroxychloroquine helps.... I have Sjorgrens as well as RD. Do you have meds for your eyes? I have hylo forte drops daytime, and xailin gel at night. Good luck x

Thankyou I use hypromellose eye drops and artificial saliva spray which I've used a while but may need to try other eye drops as I don't find them very good.

I was given Hycosan eye drops to put in twice a day. Really helps my dry eyes

Punctual plugs were the only thing that helped me, after about 4 years of moaning I was finally referred to an ophthalmologist. I still put in Xailin Night.

Hi Kels. I swear by Salivix Pastilles. They’re sugar-free and taste nice too. I find I can stick them to the roof of my mouth and they still work and last for ages. All the mouth sprays made me feel sick and drinking water doesn’t help either. I also get them on prescription along with Duraphat toothpaste and Xerostom mouthwash. At the moment I’m using Thealoz Duo eye drops and find them best for day & night. I too tried punctal plugs which stop your tears draining away but although it didn’t hurt having them put in, I had to go back to the emergency eye clinic as they felt as though I’d got stones in my eyes!! I was told that the reaction was most likely caused by my fibromyalgia. I hope you can eventually find some relief after waiting for so long for a diagnosis. Nic xx
