Has anyone else had like response from amgevita? 1st biologic and worried.
14 weeks in and still have a lot of pain, little bit reduced in the first two weeks, then nothing else, feel rough, tired, sick, tendons still painful,
Bloods have been all over too; low WBC and high Alt.
Seeing the consultant later today🤷♂️

Not Amgevita but I had Humira (the original product) for 4 months and it did precisely nothing. Hope if it’s seen your bloods and joints aren’t responding that you can start another biologic ASAP. 🙏🏻
Thank you, but that was in 2013. I am actually changing my med end of year due to side effects but it has worked perfectly well for holding back RA for 8 years. Glad you’ve found a biological that’s works for you.
I had a similar experience with Amgevita, tried for 12 weeks, no benefit just mild side effects like nausea. Same situation with Cimzia. Apparently it’s common to try a few different ones before finding one that suits you, I think 14 weeks should be enough to say it hasn’t worked and you could ask to try something else. I hope the next one gives you some relief 🙏🏽
Two options either stop the amgevita and wait a few weeks to let things settle down or steroid injection to help settle things down and continue with the amgevita. We decided on the second option.
Can homes say that a couple of days later I felt great, energy levels higher, no sickness, less pain but that didn’t last long and I’ve the course of the last 2 weeks back to normal!
I don’t feel right! 🥴🤷♂️. Feel like the amgevita isn’t working and just making me feel, nauseous and flat, muzzy headed……just not right…..
Trying to speak to anyone to understand but no joy…..totally fed up and have to continue with the amgevita ( continuing 18 weeks in)
