I do know there is an Action Osteoarthritis on HU and AFib and kidney pages too .. as this is mostly Rheumatoid Arthritis, but of course OA results a lot from RA so if we can help we will. Absolutely, but maybe you’ll get better advice from the specific forums. Could an OT help with the day to day problems around the house and self care? Recommend ways of doing things and home equipment etc. suited for you.
Thanks for your reply ive had arthritis since i was around 13 and im 86 now so i know ive had a good innings just this is something new and feel as though it only came on after sepsis other yearThanks for trying to help
I would ask re your neck on the OA action forum as they will likely have more experience, but hope someone here can help you too. Hope your MRI results are not needing too much intervention and hope your symptoms can be alleviated. 🙏🏻💗
I have damaged disc in my neck and back that give me pins and needles and burning pains down my arms/hands and legs/feet. It’s horrid at times, so sympathy.
There isn’t a solution that works for everyone, but what helps me are daily stretching exercises that I was taught by a physiotherapist. (I have rejected an operation for the time being). Perhaps you could ask for a referral, or go and see one privately?
I had the most awful cramping in my arms and shoulders for over a year before I was given an MRI (by a registrar I saw in place of my rheumatologist). I have bulging cervical discs, synovitis in some cervical joints C1 - C5 are involved. I also have OA in most of the cervical vertebrae.I've had some physio, but now that my RA is better controlled I have fewer cramping sessions too.
A cervical pillow also helps a lot, I struggle to manage without it now.
It really is trial and error to find out what works best, a physiotherapy referral might help.
