Hi it’s been a while since I’ve done a post but I read it every day my question is has anyone tried this lyprinol tablets was looking at a job for this guy and he noticed the way I walked so asked politely if I suffered from ra so I told him about my journey to here he knew exactly where I was coming from because he was on the same boat it’s 20years since he was diagnosed was on same sort of drugs we are all on but did nothing for him he went private and was told to try these lyprinol so he has been on this ever since I was a bit apprehensive but looked them up you get them on amazon i have sent for delivery this Monday when you read about them looks like it’s all natural ingredients so has anyone out there tried them looking forward for any opinions

Hi Slate. It's made from the Green Lipped Mussel extract and contains anti-inflammatory fatty acids - it may help with discomfort but won't stop damage to joints etc. Always check with your rheumatologist before trying things like this.

Yes I believe it could be useful for osteoarthritis but whether it really helps RA I do wonder.

I've just had a look on Versus Arthritis - they say it might be of some use to OA sufferers when taken alongside Paracetamol or NSAIDs but it's not effective in treating RA. No doubt, there will probably be some people who swear by it for OA as it's the same story that what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another but there's no harm in trying I suppose although if I remember correctly, a few years back it was quite expensive.

Green lipped muscle supplements have been doing the rounds for years…probably won’t do any harm…but I have never met a rheumatologist who recommends them. But quite often if you try something you believe in….it works…..but don’t break the Piggy Bank buying them!

I went to a shop looking for things to try when i was first diagnosed 35 years ago. I tried this and it made no difference at all to me. Worth trying though, I tried many things over the years, not a lot of support or information then. Best to consult with your consultant. Its strange how people notice the way we walk, I've been approached before and been asked do you have RA. Their reply is usually 'I thought so I noticed the way you walk.' It was nice sometimes to be able to have a chat with someone who recognised RA.

My consultant was always keen to make a note if I tried anything as they can interact she said.

Oh! That scares me. I would never buy any kind of medication off the internet. Don't take anything without checking with your doctor.

Some supplements help some things. Eg Omega 3 helps my Sjogrens. The word HELPS is the key here as is SOME. We hear about many, many of us try or have tried some, most of us agree that nothing cures RA, but some take supplements of one kind or another. It is very much a case of 'do what you feel is right for you'.

Please keep in mind that supplements can adversely affect the medication prescribed for RA, so check....

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, eating well and exercising as much as you are able is the most beneficial thing you can do.

Good luck

Go gently
