Hiya im very pleased ive been offered a new drug Upaducitinib (rinvoq). Just asking for comments if anyone else has tried it ,as its a newbe

Hi, I am really pleased for you 😊I haven't had this though, so can't offer any advice - sorry. However, I wasn't allowed to have the choice of starting it 'due to Covid.' 🤷🏻♀️ I now have to have Rituximab infusions because I've failed on 2 injectable biologics.
I am interested on any replies you receive though 😄
Hi! I’ve been on Rinvoq for about 5 weeks now, alongside methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine. It has definitely had some impact on pain and swelling but seems to be a bit of a slow burn for me. Hoping it will continue to build. Have just started tapering steroid again so will see how it all balances out over time. Good luck with it - I believe that for some it can work really quickly.
Please post updates as really interested.
I am on baricitinib and that has worked well after three months. Good luck 😉
Brilliant pixiouchy x
Just about to start this drug so interested in how you are getting on with it
Hello Knit12 I've have recently started Rinvoq June 28th to be exact I havent had any side effects ,and for the first time since my diagnosis just over a year ago with zero negative rheumatoid athrites and trying other various medications that sadly didnt work for me I can actually say I've never felt so good ,fatigue gone, pain and swelling gone I feel normal, hope it works for you all the best
😀

That is so wonderful to hear. I am a longtime of RA and was on sulphasalazine for almost 20 years when it stopped working. This will be my 10th drug in 2 years of having terrible flare ups and side effects so I’m hoping for a miracle. Thank you so much and I hope you continue to feel well x
Hello I wish you all the best and hoping that you have the same great results that I'm having at the moment with rinvoq

Finally got the drug and been on it for 2 days. Today I actually woke up with no stiffness in my hands although still stiff in shoulders and ankles, but so far so good
So pleased for you 9 weeks for me I can actually say I feel normal, still have stiff hands in the morning but no near as bad o sometimes forget I have been diagnosed with RA 😀

That is so good to hear, I am delighted for you and I hope it is the same for me. Did you have any side effects at all? I am aware of dry eyes, dry throat and dry nose in the mornings but easily fixed with drops in the eyes and a drink of water.
FINGERS CROSSED FOR YOU , ONLY THING IS THE DRY EYES IN THE MORNING BUT GOT INTO THE HABBIT OF PUTTING EYE DROPS IN BEOFRE I GO TO SLEEP GOOD LUCK KEEP ME UPADTED ON HOW TO GET ON IN A FEW WEEKS
Rinvoq is great for me, no issues for me (6 months)
