I have had my first dose of AstraZeneca but I have suffered in the past with thrombocytopenia so concerned about second dose should I have it when I phoned my GPS for advice the receptionists answer was I’m not medical and should go ahead and have it not very helpful ,am really concerned about what to do

The risks are minimal. You are more risk from Covid.

My husband had the Oxford AstraZeneca approx 3 weeks ago. He had absolutely no side effects.

He takes Methotrexate 22.5mgs daily, Meloxicam, Prednisolone 2mgs, Folic acid. Imaraladi injections fortnightly and a host of other pain killers.

Please run the risk. The media is hyping this up and worrying too many people.

We can’t give you medical advice either, but as Buzz says run the risks. 22,000,000 doses given, and I think 79 cases (not all fatal).

And are you under 30?

Speak to the doctor at the vaccination centre is you are concerned and tell them about your history.
