And the folic acid has been reinstated... A well meaning locum who has no idea why we take folic acid took it upon their self to change my dose. The mind boggles, my doctor wasn't very happy but all is now well and I will be picking up my pack of 28 later. Thank you all for bothering to answer with your comments last week x

When I had Shingles a Locum prescribed something that would have apparently made me “proper poorly” as our lovely pharmacist said. That is the advantage of using a regular pharmacist...before I moved out of London.... I just used whichever I was passing.
That's not good 😬 it could have been a disaster for you, it shouldn't be allowed to happen, not getting my folic acid wasn't the end of the world but it could have been something more serious 🤷♀️
Good result. Well done for persisting. I check everything I am prescribed or told by my GP / rheumatologist from Dr Google and this forum. I've had too many mistakes occur too.
It isn't just locums who mess things up - one of the GPs (who I now avoid) stopped my DMARDs medication instead of renewing it after I'd been asked to go for a medication review - thank goodness it's now done by the pharmacist.
Hmm bet you didn't let that one go! the receptionist at my doctors tells me they'll stop my medication if I don't get my bloods tested.... my medication comes from the rheumy team so I'd like to see her try 👊😂 I just laugh at her when she tries to pull rank 😂
