Tocilizimub and weight gain

Has anyone got any tips on how to lose weight while taking Tocilzimub. Been walking and using the exercise bike, eating well but still weight going on.

I haven't had weight gain with tocilizumab, are you just on that or anything else that could be causing it, like prednisolone? I have increased cholesterol levels so am trying to do something about that and would be interested to hear of anyone else's experience. Best wishes Biggles.

No just Hydroxcloroquine . My cholesterol has been up and down since I started on the Tocilizimub

Tocilizumab is notorious for weight gain. Not for everyone, but if you're one who gains weight, there is nothing you can do about it. Diet and exercise won't shift the weight, you need to decide if it helps you enough to be worth the weight. If its not, I would talk to your rheum about changing meds sooner rather than later.
