Found another article about it here

Sounds quite tentative, from what I read they didn't quantify how much of a response and if they move the spleen in anyway it affects the anti-inflammatoey response.

It is a start though, can't knock research that might help fight this disease .

Shame the bicarb can't be taken in cake form 😅

Very good read indeed. Someone from your link said it helped. This will be great if it really help then we can all forget about the poisonous DMRADs.

Thank for sharing. Will see if I can find more inform before I decide if I should drink a glass a day to avoid flare in future.

And studies done on laboratory animals like rats are renowned for not producing same results when trialled in humans. I use baking soda for acid reflux, and it is a great temporary fix but no more than that.

I tried it for about three months, (I was desperate). It didn't seem to make any difference.

Thank you for the information. As the link from helix, there is still no proof yet.

I am very sorry that you were desperate and I hope are ok now.

Thanks for sharing - I believe I read up about this when going through all the possible things I could take to cure to avoid taking RA meds - the meds won through. I also read apple cider vinegar was a cure too - someone wrote a book on that. I shall certainly read to get an update! Thanks again. Stay well 🙂

Dear Hessie, RA can’t be cured but control only. So I don’t believe anyone who say he can cure RA.

Personally, only when Mtx kicked in after about 6 months, then I started to feel better. I tried apple cedar vinegar too but, it didn’t help. Those days I was in so much pain hence I was desperate to try anything which I came across.

We just need to continue searching to see if anything new that may help.

It was the early days when you read people sayingI ’I cured my RA’ and when I was early diagnosed I was hoping that food was the medicine the cure. I totally agree with you - thank you so much. 🙂

So sad that we just have to bear with the medicines for life!

I tend to drink soda water a large glass a day and do find for me that my tummy feels better I add a lemon or lime wedge. I got into drinking it with the sicca and find it helps a little.

in reply to Amy_Lee

Any side effect during this period when you drink it? Just curious, if ok then no harm trying in my opinion.
