How long for toccillizumab to work

Now had 8th injection. Should it have started to work or does it take the16 weeks. Not on anything else so maybe slight improvement. Perhaps I should be on my knees by now. Thank you

I think the standard is 3 to 4 month. Mine kicked in quickly but in combination with arava and some steroids but I get infusions. If the injections dont show improvement maybe infusions would.

Have they given you any steroid to ride you over until it kicks in?

Ty for reply I asked about steroid but was persuaded to try without due to covid

Well you can tell them uncontrolled RA is a high risk factor for covid too and to think again. I've had steroid jabs during covid and as you are Not managing , you should be considered for treatment. Are you working frontline though or in a risk area, I'm lucky I can stay home.

Mine kicked in after a month but everyone’s different plus I was on methotrexate as well then but off that now just the biological drug and quit sore at the moment,hope you get comfort soon xxx
