Olumiant
No but I’m due to start olumaint bio similar Baricitinib. Like you starting new meds make me nervous but I need something that’s going to work for me.
Hi ,yes l agree, pain and not knowing how l am going to feel from one day to the next is very annoying. Fatigue is crippling .
Yes same here poor quality of life. I want more so going to give it ago . If it doesn’t work or suit me I’ll stop.
Hi I’ve been on it off and on for nearly two years. This is my fourth biologic in 16 years, I’ve had RA for 30 years. No side effects at all but also very little help (I’m due to switch to Abatacept). I wouldn’t worry at all as it’s one tablet a day, so much easier than injections/infusions. Make sure you have your cholesterol blood test, before and during as it can affect this. My cholesterol has stayed fine (surprisingly as I could pretty much live on cake).
Good luck, I hope it works for you.
If you put baricitinib into the search box, you will find previous posts about this treatment.
It is a commonly used treatment now and some people have found it very helpful so I hope that you will too!
I am waiting for a call from my consultant, as this is the next drug I'm due to take too. I'm dreading it as I've read that common side effects are UTI s and gven that I am very predisposed to these I'm really nervous. So would be interested too!
