Recommendations pls-private rheumatologist Cheshire/Staffs/North West

Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a rheumatologist that practises privately in Cheshire/ Staff/ N West?

I’ve been under the care of the NHS for 2 years and although the OT, physios are great, I haven’t seen the consultant for 2 years (just locums) and have so many unanswered questions / things that don’t fit. I feel ignored and in the meantime have hip pain and lower back pain that makes me feel 70+

Any recommendations much appreciated!

I felt like I wanted to go private as I felt unheard fur various reasons. My boss told me that I had access to an advice scheme through our Employee Assistance program. I literally contacted them last week with a full list of questions all of which they answered in a very clear response about four days later. The Dr made so much sense and I found it incredibly useful. I wondered if you had access to anything similar? At the moment I no longer feel like I need to go private, which is a relief as we don’t have medical cover.

Have you googled your consultant. Most do private practise as well as NHS and normally have a link on their website.

Thanks- I’m looking for a second opinion ideally! There are many private rheumatologists online but was hoping someone might have experience of one they could recommend! Thanks though!
