Hi Everyone, I found these posts while researching info on RA. I’m happy to have find this site. I was diagnosed with RA about 2 1/2 years ago. I’m 53 now. I tried lots of meds and had strange reactions to each one. I lost my taste to Leflunomide. It’s been over a year now 😢 its bad enough to have RA but now I can’t taste anything. Any suggestions would be great. Currently I’m on Sulfasalazine & Humira. I would greatly appreciate any advise.

Hi.
I like this site as if i have an issue i read , or just get to laugh at something funny or get some info or comparisons of a problem with a symptom or a drug. I am in Australia and we have nothing like this. I haven't had the drug you are talking about so i can't help either other than to say Hi. Good luck.
Hi,
It can take time to find the medication combination that works for you. I have had RA for 9 years and am 37. I was allergic to hydroxychloroquine but have been fine with all other medications. Currently I am taking Cimzia and Sulfasalazine. Have previously been on Benepali and Enbrel and Methotrexate. I have always found having an open and honest dialogue with my rheumatology team is so important. Appreciate that has been hard recently though. Have you still go no taste? What has your team said about it?
I have been on Leflumide for about 4 yrs, and it has not effected my taste buds, but lost over 4 st,, I am now stick thing,, and ona a full fat menu,,,
