Yes unfortunately. I’m lying in bed at the moment on fire then later I will be cool. My disease is active at the moment and I always get hot flushes and night sweats . I went through the menopause years ago.

Many of us get this including the chaps though docs always go menopause but I know mine is not as completely different. You will find many of us have discussed duvet on or off windows open fans on flash heat you name itπŸ”₯

Yes definately experience the same. I was a good few years past the menopause when got RD at 58. Felt cheated as had gone through 10years of menopause. It did settle a bit after about a year, but still have it a 3.5 yrs later. I dont know if its the RD or the meds that give the hot flushes. Someone on here will know. Saying that it doesnt make any difference as still get them 🌈

I have these too and think it could be due to fluctuations in my blood sugar levels. These are affected by some of the medication I have taken and especially by steroids I think.

Hi yes I regularly have sweats. In fact I'm having a hot sweat right now! Got up feeling rubbish and so hot. I have always thought it was the Methotrexate I take but reading other replies maybe its the RA itself - though my joints are ok and I'm not in a flare so I don't know. This only started at the beginning of this year (I was diagnosed Oct 18) and its not the menopause. . .. Sorry I can't be of more help but I sympathise.

Funnily enough, I have started to have mildish flushes over the last three weeks. I have MTX which I have been on since last September. The only thing I have that's different is the Sulfasalazine which I started three weeks ago today. I started my menopause when I was about 42 and it went on until about two years ago with the most wicked hot flushes and night sweats, then nothing until about three weeks ago (I don't think these flushes are due to the mp). Weird.

Radoone you mentioned your anxiety about your heart and your mums heart attack. Please have a word with your GP about this and have it checked out if only for reassurance for yourself. RA is a disease that can leave us with heart complications, although far less so today, as modern drugs are better able to control the disease.

😣 I definitely have the hot flushes too, it's miserable, might time is worst.....kicking the quilt off , putting the fan on, dangling arms and legs out of the bed, then getting cold and hunkering down to get warm......nothing like a restful night's sleep.
