Has this happened to anyone? Not sure if the drug or not. Will take again today to confirm. Wondered if this had happened to you whether it was a side effect that wore off.
P.S. I know it's on the side effect list but not so severe that I need to seek guidance today.
P.P.S Will it ever end! Am beginning to feel like a hypochondriac.

I agree with you darling, i get fed up of ringing the drs every week as i still don't feel well. Your not alone darling, sorry i can't give you an answer as i have never had that drug. Hugs. xxxx
Had second thoughts. Just in case it is an infection (goodness knows how) decided not to take until it clears. Then retake - if another sore throat then I will know definitively. Has your new inhaler arrived? We should be given designated hot lines to the Docs soon!! Ha Ha. xx
I’ve been on it for years now, with no I’ll effects. Initially, my blood pressure was a bit high with it but that settled to normal after the first couple of weeks.
It’s been quite good for me.
Hope your sore throat eases and you get to the bottom of it.
Thank you. Sadly throat is sore and my cuppa is less pleasurable. I just can't understand where I could get it from other than clapping outside on Thursday or on something that came through the door. I've been nowhere!! Glad you have been O.K on it. There's hope.
Hay fever levels are very high at present - that always gives me a sore throat (as well as sore eyes and a runny nose despite treatment - without treatment I can't function)
Sorry to hear about that. Yes, there's always a first but to be honest it's something I have never suffered from. I have only been taking LEF for a week, in that week I had two intermittent bouts of sore throats but it went after 2 hours each time. I didn't take LEF this morning as usual and must admit that throat is calming down. If it's calm by the end of the day I will take one in the morning again - if sore throat emerges then that's it and will seek advice. - It would be just my luck at the moment. Hope you get some relief from your Hay fever, my brother suffers from it and I always feel great empathy.
The side effects I had went after a few days so its as your body gets used to it. I'd say check with your medical team but give it a few weeks it did'nt work for me properly until 12 weeks in then it really was great. I've said this before but take at night with a full glass of water as that was advised to me and I never had any throat problems it was because it needs to go down into tum. Perhaps your getting it stuck in throat. Just a thought. x
Thanks for your reassurance. I have the tablet with food so no problems getting stuck. The reaction does come up on the list of 'to call for advice' so will do tomorrow as the patch on the roof of my mouth looked as though it had a little sore in it. Hoping it's all a coincidence. No doubt will be advised to try again once throat settles down. Sore throats is not something I suffer from (well not for 20 years). Ho hum! Life's little joys eh!
ML is right you need to glug it down with plenty of water...taking it with just a sip of water whilst eating isn’t enough....if you have a sore spot on the roof of your mouth it could well be part of the Lfl pill has settled there.
A friend of mine did that with an anti biotic & had a really bad throat for a couple of weeks.
Nasty for your friend, yes I know this can happen. Thank you, but please don' worry I am taking it with plenty of fluid, any more and I'd float. Taking pills has never been a problem. Apart from the sore throat I felt dreadful yesterday and slowly better today. I think it's a suck it and see situation (not literally!). Once the throat has settled down I will try it again. I'll know for sure then.
Yes plus very bad breathing difficult. Told Rheumy but nooo cant be the drug. After having possible covd 19 stopped all drugs due to antibiotics etc it went away(breathing was fine) so at last am off them. Good luck
Gosh! You have been in the wars. How dreadful. Am glad you are feeling better but what are they planning to give you now?
Am taking LEF again today and if throat gets worse (it's fairly calm now) then I'll know and phone the RA team tomorrow. It's a heads I win.. tails I loose situation. Since I was intolerant of MTX the next step would be a biologic - not so keen but can't go back to the 11 week horrific flare and MTX induced walking dead syndrome. Thank you and keep safe.
Oh thank you for your response. Don't think I have a temperature - have taken tablet again this morning after 48 hour break, so if the throat comes back I will know and will call the RA team. Who knew life could become so exciting with RA - never ending series of appointments, phone calls!!!! Will post if it turns out to be anything worth noting. Take care.x
