Hi has anyone been on this medication? I have been offered it and it’s fairly new so wondered what people think of it?

If you put it into the search box you will find previous discussion threads about this drug.

In the Gwent group we had quite few people on it and none of them had brought up any problems and one woman in particular was very pleased with the effects.

My sister is now on this and has had some raised cholesterol levels, but no other problems so far.

I was on it last year, but i had to come off it due to breathing problems which was not due to the drug. I did alright on it while i was on it, but i had to jumps hoops before i got it due ot other health issues.

My husband is on it and has found it very good. Cholesterol was up after 3 months but I don't think it has been tested in the following 18 mths. ,🙄 Was to be done by GP but cancelled due to lockdown. Hope it works equally well for you.

Loads of threads with this subject already on the website. Good luck with it -it’s worked really well for me, no side effects and good results. Been on it since last June and have had every drug under the sun before this all with varying results. This is probably the kindest major drug I’ve been given and the good thing is if it doesn’t suit you it leaves your system within hours.

I was on baricitinib for almost 6 months with mixed results. I eventually came off it due to repeated low level funfal infections and flares.

Overall I did see an improvement whilst on it, but had to stop taking on so many occasions due to the fungal infections, that I couldn't go on with it.
